Woven Voices - 2025

This painting was made for the CulturalxCollabs project of the Museum of Islamic Arts in Berlin. It features a pattern from the Alhambra surrounded by a Celtic inspired border.

A night in Morocco - 2024

This piece was inspired by the ceiling of a restaurant in Chefchaouen, Morocco. The panels are filled with geometric pattern found in Fez and biomorphic patterns of Lieve’s own design.

Dreaming of Esfahan - 2021

Contrastingly to the original blue patterns found in Esfahan, Iran, Lieve decided to paint this particular one red instead.

The Khatam, or 8-pointed star, is one of Lieve’s favorite shapes in Islamic geometric patterns. This one is filled with biomorphic patters of her own design.
