Printmaking
In 2015, Lieve started a course of “Etching and other printing techniques” in Amsterdam because one of her favourite artists, Dutch artist M.C. Escher (1898-1972), was a printmaker and she wanted to learn more about some of the techniques he had used during his career. Lieve started with etching and did that for 5 years before moving to a different city. There she continued with etching but also persued other printing techniques such as cyanotype (blueprinting), screen printing and woodblock printing which she has since then combined with the passion for Islamic geometry.
